x-flow engine with origional gauges-------

the temp sender is new but the gauge will not read when connected up properly . Only time it moves is when not earthed ,then it goes off the scale. Other parts of gauges work--rev counter etc

Any ideas, or is the gauge faulty ????

Has the guage ever worked in your car, or is it a new build? Sounds like either the wiring to the guage is wrong or it is faulty.

never seen it work properly, but the origional escort loom , gauges ets are being used . Maybe it's knackered as you say !
