Hi,

I'm working on my dash at the momennt and i got a good deal for a oil temp and sender..the only problem is i'm not sure....no i don't know where to screw-in the oil temp sender into the pinto 205 block as the oil pressure sender is in.
Can anyone help???
has anyone fixed an oil temp gauge on a 2.0 pinto?

Steve

usually people use a 'T' adaptor to mount both senders or have the sump modified to take the temp sender

dont screw the T piece into the block and then attach the 2 senderes to it as it will snap/break the block. Use a piece of high pressure hose screwed into the block with the T piece and senders mounted on the chassis.

thanks guys, i 'll get in touch with Burton power for the T 'bit'.
MK9R- just checking i read you right -- the two senders are to be connected to the T bit first before screwing the T 'bit' on to the bloke?

Thanx Steve

I have a Pinto 2.0 and both my oil pressure light and Temp guage are both on a t piece attached direct to the block. been running like that for 8 years with no issues.

Sont see how it can crack the block unless you go mad and tighten it up too much, there is no resistance in the copper capillary tube from the guage to the block or in the wire from the temp to the block.
