I've just come in from the garage after admitting defeat on the electrics having spet ages on them. I'm totally deflated!
I stripped my loom out of my donor Sierra back in summer 2006 and three weeks ago I got it out, laid it out over the car and began pairing it down.
Unfortunately I started to make mistakes which I've then compounded to the point where the loom is a right-of (trust me on this!!)
What is the EASIEST, cheapest and fastest way to get it running from scratch? I have all the Sierra bits (pinto ECU, inlet manifold with all wiring
intact to the multiplug, the mass AFM, electric dissy, etc.) and all the wiring (albeit chopped up in a pile) if this helps.
My options seem to be to buy a premier wiring loom for the lights, etc and one of the following buy I want an idea of price/ease of installation
before I begin my research:
1.) megajolt and bike carbs - not liking as I've read that they give weak and rich spots
2.) Megasquirt and bike throtle bodies - liking but sounds complicated
3.) After market ecu with Sierra bits (Emerald, etc.) - would be great if I could retain the sierra bits but sounds expensive
By the way, the pinto is definately staying - FINAL!
just get another loom and try again ?

Another Sierra loom - not a chance...ever! I think my task was made harder by the fact that my donor was orginally a Ford dealer principal's and
had every extra on it! (F-reg with electric screens f&r, electic heated seats, a/c, fuel computer, alarm, pas, 4xEW, elec sun roof, etc. The full
loom was so heavy that I had to put it in a wheelbarrow to move it!

If I get the Megasquirt (how much are you looking for - U2U me), Edis Module, Trigger Wheel, VR sensor, TPS & Lambda Sensor could I run this in
isolation to the Premier Wiring loom or is there some cross connection?
Why are you selling?
bin it and fit a set off twin chokes work better,give you moor power, and cheeper,+sound awesome
