VR sensor gap

Simple question but one that i cant find the answer too!!

What measurement do i need to aim for between my trigger wheel and VR sensor on the MegaJolt set up i am working on??

2mm, or as close as you can get it, did'nt know a zx10 needed this, OOHH.

Ideally you want as little as possible without touching about, 1mm is ideal but it will work up to about 2.5 or 3mm max but will be liable to false triggering if to large.

I did a bit of research when I couldn't get my speedo to work and various sources suggested that optimum air gap is 0.5-1.5mm

Thanks chaps. Well I have got around 1mm of clearance now so just need to check carefully that its the same all round a 360 degree rotation. Quite pleased with the little bracket i've made up here - extremely secure.

Hi Brad

Nooo its not for the ZX10R. I am building up a Tiger Supercat with a Pinto before i finish my own car off. Got too many plans and not enough cash at the moment but have my LGV test next Monday so hopefully soon be sorted on that score.
