covering wiring question
Slater - 31/8/08 at 04:33 PM

Here is my wiring through the tunnel and boot area. The wires are covered with a pretty tough PVC sheath (as supplied in the premier wiring loom). Is this OK for SVA or do I need extra covering like convoluted tubing?
I intend to use the same PVC tubing in the engine bay for the lights/fan/horn wiring.

and me. Should be fine for SVA, and providing you are happy that this gives you enough ptotection against anything that may get thrown up there it will be okay.

Looks OK to me. I dont recall SVA specifying that wiring has to be covered, could be wrong though. To me its done as it looks neater. I used split convoluted tubing in engine bay as its easy to add or remove wires later if you do mods (eg megajolt for me).

I also made sure no wiring was run near exhaust manifolds.
