Could you please post picture of how you have routed the wiring from the scuttle through the top of the aluminium that covers the transmission tunnel.

Does this panel at the front of the tunnel under the scuttle need to be removed?

thank you

I don't have a picture to hand, but I made the tunnel top in 2 sections and secured it with rivnuts and dome head socket caps. Both sections are easily removed for tunnel access.

On the front panel (under the dash) I cut a corner off at the front edge just big enough for the loom to pass through when covered in split conduit. I then covered the edge in U trim just to be sure.

The loom then drops straight down into the tunnel and is secured all the way to the back of the car using rubber lined stainless P clips with rivnuts and socket caps (easy to remove if need be).

The end result is that you can remove the tunnel top without disturbing the loom. SVA man was fine with this and appreciated the ease of access when inspecting the tunnel area.
