rx1n koso revs again
hi all
if anyone has this gauge fitted to a fireblade engine car could you tell me how you connected it up
ie from the ecu or wrap that wire round one of the spark plug leads?
im now getting (on idle) it says 13000 rpm
and when reving up to say 6000rpm it says 2000rpm
i have it wired into the ecu a moe and ive lost the spare pickup lead .

have you set the Koso to the correct number of pistons and stokes?

When you say it is wired into the ECU, do you mean the feed from the ECU to the bike clock tacho?
What else have you tried? On my engine (not a blade) I tried the coil thing first, expecting it to be 100% reliable. It would jump all over the shot.
Then hooked it into the tacho feed from the ECU, and it has been spot on ever since...

i attached mine to the tach out put and its been spot on, the same wire also runs a shift light with digi rev counter built in.

Are these no longer for sale? I have seen none on ebay (any Koso Clocks) and I cant find them for sale anywhere any more. Has Koso gone under or
something?

i have it connected tacho output (the original wire that fed the blade clocks)
i also tried wrapping the wire round a spark plug lead still goes haywire.
wondering if i got a faulty unit?

i have mine wrapped to a spark plug and its gets mentally bad feed sometimes.
my mate siggested tapping into the coil feed wire so its out of the block.
i cant seem to find the original ecu feed on my loom as its tucked away too well!

I don't think you have a faulty unit as I've seen many threads similar to this. It seems rx1n's and blade engines don't go
well together. Unfortunately I only only found this out after I had bought my RX1N to go in my blade powered Indy.
I've got all of this to look forward to.
