Multiway Compact Connectors?
These are a bit expensive:

So I bought these:
http://www.cbsonline.co.uk/multipin-wiring-connectors-8-way-mul8-single-3402-p.asp
But they are HUGE! Do not look tidy at all, Does anyone have a preffered connector thats around the £2 a go mark?
Perhaps not an automotive one as they attract a premium it seems...

how many way do you need?
i have used the second one in your list but i also have 2 pairs of the first in your list, mine are 5 way but i didnt get on with them so cut them
off, you can have them if you want they just need new pins but they are only 5 way!

You can buy the superseal connectors far more cheaply from
IEM Services. They do a lot of other
electrical stuff that seems well priced.

The IEM services ones are priced per half connector and ex VAT - works out same as CBS

Farnell sell the superseal connectors as individual parts (socket, plug, pins, seals)

For the 6 way it works out at something like £3.53+VAT ea
if you buy 5 at a time.
The proper crimping tool is eye watering, but I doubt many people would buy one and would make do with pliers/cheap+nasty crimp tools.
Those big ones take full size spades by the looks of it, so would be rated at big amps.

yes, the price of the crimp tool is crazy, i tried a molex tool i have at work but it was just too small, so i just bit the bullet and tried using
long nose pliers and it worked out just fine. i did find a crimp tool on ebay for £20 + P&P but really isnt worth it when the pliers work.

those look like they use 4.7 mm spade so would be quite large.
for my dash, I used a 20 way PC connector from maplins; will try to find linky one their website loads up.
or have a look at VWP.
how many ways and what contact current rating?

The Mate-N-Lock connectors are smaller and neater than your ones at the top, worked nicely for Saab loom.

What about these rated @8 amps would that be ok for headlights?

i tried the superseal ones before but found they never were seated correctly in the housing maybe due to not having correct crimp tool

yeah 8 amps should be ok (one per headlight I assume! ) those are "Sureseal" plugs, available from Farnell at a pretty good price I think,
decent plugs actually (which is a rare thing these days! )
