Clio Head Lights

Looks like i'm working on swimbo tin top this weekend.

The main bean has stopped working, the side lights and dipped bean work fine - also flashing the main beam works when there is no other lights switched on. You cannot change for dipped to main beam, nothing happens. First port of call was to change the indicator stalk - still no difference.

So my plan of attack tomorrow is to:

Check all the fuses - just incase i missed summat last time.

I was wondering if it could be a relay problem? So check the relays

Finally get my hands dirty with the wiring which will he endless fun.

Open to suggestions.

Just checked on the Clio sport forum for an idea of what the problem could be,the stalk appears to be the main cause, they appear to be a common fault, one guy changed 3 before he got one to work, also some have said the relay, apparently the full beam is on a different circuit to the flash?

Thanks Paul,

You have confirmed a most of my thoughts. I thought the flasher may be on a seperate circuit. I'm going to try and bridge the connections with a few wires to replicate the indicator the stalk to see if that still is the problem.

Forgot to add, there is no click when you try to select full beam, i have not drive the car for a while but i always though it clicked and declicked.

There's no "I" in SWMBO

The lights come on automatically when its dark. They only make a click between dip and main if they are switched on, on the stalk.

If auto lights were on, you wouldn't be able to put the dipped beam on
