wiper switch lucas equivalent?
Done all the searches, and the internet reading, and still need to know how many poles are on the back of the Lucas switch? I think 8.
The original is hard to find unless you pay through the nose.
My brain is starting to hurt when it comes to this wiring thing. Started out ok, I thought...

You could always just use a two position switch and a relay as described on
http://www.vitessesteve.co.uk/LucasStuff/LucasStuff2.html

Of course if you are using Lucas parts (inventors of the worlds first self-dimming headlights and intermitent wiper system) you'll need to order
plenty of this stuff

wiper
hi
i used a mini single speed wiper motor,
and a simple 1 pole switch and a relay.
works a treat. may need a double switch for 2 speed motor. if you need a sketch for it email me at g.gilo@yahoo.co.uk

For a two speed what you're ultimately looking for is a
Double pole triple throw (DPTT) toggle switch which aren't so common.....

okey dokey.
the Lucas switch has possiblity for 8 contacts 1-8 but the one you will commonly find has only tags on 1,7,4,6,8.
Foir the wiper you need to find one with contact 2.
I have one like that in my Land Rover and have been looking for a replacement for years.
in short, the switch you required does, or did exist, where to get one I donlt know,
An option it to take apart 2 swtiches and to fit contact 2.
the contact 2 is used to take the power from the wiper motor and it used for self-parking.
I'd have to think very hard to figure out the circuit but pretty sure you cannot achieve the self-parking with the standard lucas switch.
