buying connectors

I am missing a module of loom from my mx5 (front loom) so i was thinking of making another but need the connectors. Any idea where I can get some or am i going to have to scour the breakers yard.

they're not cheap are they?

i think the problem you might have going round the scrappies is either they'll look messy if you try and cut off the wires and solder new ones on, or trying to find the right pins to replace them.

what about place like RS? do they do them?

VWP sell multi-pin connectors.

if you after exactly the same type that wre on the loom, then you need to search the web, you may not be able to purchase OEM ones. There are so many types, you'd have thought manufacturers would have standardised on size by now.

If you want mx5 parts try 'kelsey cars'
(near market rasen, Lincs - they used to trade on ebay) 01652678825 - they were a specialist mx5 breakers, but last time I was in he said they were giving up the business and would be selling off all the stocks cheap!
