Have to admit wiring beyond me so am employing auto electrition, but I need to know if MEMS no.VA mkc101610 1883 4039 has an imobliser and if so how do I bypass it.I kept the ing key but it is just a plain one not a button on fob job.Thankyou in advance for any asistance Raymond.

as far as I know you need the mems, 5as module and key fob remote all from the same car.

If you don't have these, there are companies who you can send unmatched parts and have them reprogrammed.

The other alternative is aftermarket ecu like emerald.

If it isn't you can get the ecu modified or add a dummy security module.

If anyone needs to run a rover mems ecu that is immobilised, and wants to get rid of the 5as module and remote key fob, there are two options send to a ecu specialist and get the immobiliser disabled. Also available is a talon code generator that is programmed to the ecu,a small box of tricks with three wires live, earth and ecu signal.I have used both methods, getting the immobiliser removed from the ecu is the cheapest option.
