Indicator problems

Took the car out today for the first time in a good few months.

Just popped round the block and when I came back I noticed the fuel, oil and water gauges weren't working and the fuel pump had stopped. Replaced the fuse and took it for another spin. Halfway round the block and the indicators and hazards stop working.

Came back and checked all the fuses and they are fine. The relay clicks when you put the indicator on either way and clicks when you put the hazards on and the hazard switch lights up but doesnt flash.

Any ideas before I go down to halfords to try another flasher relay. I would have thought its not that though as the relay clicks.

Why do things magically go wrong when the car has been sitting there doing nothing.

Forgot to add they were working the first time I went out. I wonder what will go when I fix these!
