Rear lights being vertical?

Hi, last week on my pre sva pictures a few chaps pointed out my rear fog light wasnt vertical which im hoping to sort today. But is this the only light that has to be vertical at the rear or must all of them be aswell?
Cheers
Adam

Only the fog light needs to be vertical. I think it's so that it doesn't dazzle drivers behind.

Edit. I think the others still need to sensibly close to vertical too

Just the Fog IIRC

If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

Actually it's essentially so that it DOES dazzle the car behind (except it should only be on when it's foggy of course) - fog lights generally have a vertical beam focus of +/- 5 degrees, so if it's mounted on a slope then it won't shine brightly to the rear.

And don't get confused by tin-tops that appear to have their fogs at an angle (e.g. the new VW Beetle) - the lens may be on a slope but the reflector inside is vertical.

I think that the reason is actually a blend of matt's and mookaloid's ideas - if the fog is pointing upwards then it dazzles a driver following close behind, or shines over the driver behind if he's further away.
