Cable, switches, relays, fuses. works for me!
I can see a use for these though if you were building a serious race car with a full array of sensors, data logging and telemetry because the weight saving alone must be worth having. In our cars with a couple of lights at the front and a few at the back and an engine in there somewhere, I doubt it would be worth it.
