Anyone used one of these or can suggest a locost alternative

I am looking into clocks for my next build and i have found this

Ebay link

Has anyone used one of these and can share their experience?

Or can anyone suggest an alternative - locost if possible!

Cheers

You used to be able to use a cycle speedo as long as it was powered from the Car battery.

$120 Dollars anit bad........ Make sure it reads MPH and find out what speed sensor it uses.

Digi-Dash would be an Alternative

Scot's do it better in Kilts.

If your using a bec then why not use the associated clocks, all can be found on ebay. My zx10r clocks were sourced for £100

By the time you've paid postage vat and customs then you will be up around there if not more.

I've always liked the look of those... found after I finished my car.

They are also availble in the UK e.g. here for £115 (probs + Vat etc.)

Doesn't Russbost on here do some of the Acewell stuff and offer forum members 15% discount?

You can't use cycle speedo's any more, they've been excluded by IVA wording.
If it's from the states it will certainly read in mph.

Russbost certainly does sell Acewell stuff, but I don't know if he can get that specific unit.

I can do the 2859W which does loads more than just speedo (tacho, fuel, built in warning lights etc) for IIRC £115 less the 15% discount (not at home at present so can't check price), it's also made to drop straight into a hole in the dash rather than sit in it's own pod like this one.

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1
