Any good alternatives to an AIM/Racetech Dash?

Was planning to use the standard S2000 dash but I don't want to fiddle around making it work (as much as I want to see that night rider style rpm counter!). I really like the look of the Aim/Racetech but, of course, they're expensive. If nothing else comes close then I'll happily get one but thought I'd ask here in case anyone reckons there are good alternatives, or if anyone knows of a second hand one going.

It will be use in conjunction with an Omex 600 ECU.

Another question, would it be possible to gain vehicle speed from the S2000 speed sensor in the gearbox, or do aftermarket dash's all use wheel speed as the vehicle speed sensor?

ahh, youv'e seen the light. i am using the race technology dash 2 display from rally technology (on ebay) wit the can ecu interface.
does the omex unit have can output? the dta s60 which im using can monitor, rpm, coolant temp, oil temp, oil pressure, and loads of other stuff. and outputs all this data on 2 wires, can hi and can low. (no idea how this works) as for the speed sensor i have not got round to programming it yet but it can be altered in the programming. a spped sensor with magnet on the prop will work if the gear speed wont!

It looks like I'll be able to use the Omex serial interface, as it doesn't have CAN. I have all those sensor inputs on the Omex so it should go to the dash fine. You're lucky to be so far along, I can't wait. 3 weeks until uni is finished then I'm getting this thing built!

Where did you get your exhaust done? Did you use the standard downpipe with extensions to get it out the engine bay?

pwl on here has an f22c powered mnr.and is very helpful. he actually gave me the exhaust for free. and i only had to pay the postage from denmark, which wasnt much! the standard exhaust headers just wont fit at all, you will need a set making up!

slightly OT but who's mapping your dta ecu and how much are you looking at?

do you mean how much for the unit or how much for the mapping? it currently has dta's s2000 base map and it runs sweet as a nut. afr guage is showing stable results. jdm dyno in cumbria are mapping it once iva'd. he is superb and really knows his stuff, but the place is rammed with cars outside. ther must be 25 cars dumped there by their owners (some have beent there for over 2 years) there was old escorts mk with boa cosworth v6, a twin turbo soarer, about 7 old skylines, running big power.all sorts really. its in a hanger on the old air field site in kirkbride. in the middle of nowhere

I mean for the mapping, a DTA ecu for my car is £950 then I need to make an engine loom plus get it mapped(if I kept the 3.2 evo engine). They've a base map but not sure how much mapping it'll need to pass emissions etc.

I've no idea. It uses a serial port to output to the dash
