Granada electronic speed sensor
As title really I'm doing an install on a Gr4 escort which has the electronic speedo drive from the Granada. I've done a search on here to
no avail really as the wire colours are different.
Its a 3 wire hall effect drive with the std ford 3 pin plug ( with what looks like a filled in Y locater in the middle.)
Wire colours/pin no's are
1 Brown
2 Black and brown
3 yellow and brown.
My guess is
brown to earth
black and brown to ign +
Yellow/brown as sensor output.
But I don't want to scrap a £ 100 gauge thats not mines.
Its going on to a Vdo speedo which I have all the diagrams for.
Thanks in advance people.
If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

sound good, IIRC that is how I worked out the wiring on mine, but then I was using a Granada loom and instrument pod. But it sounds right.
Beware of the Goldfish in the tulip mines. The ONLY defence against them is smoking peanut butter sandwiches.

Ford have always used Brown for the earth, and Black for 12v + so I would think that your on the right track. HTH Ray
To make a car go faster, just add lightness. Colin Chapman - OR - fit a bigger engine. Chippy
