Carbed fireblade ignition info.

I'm rebuilding a 1977 CB750F2 sohc, whether it finishes up fairly stock, or cafe racer, I'm not sure yet.

What I do want is to upgrade to electronic ignition, and the cheapest way looks like taking the parts fom a later 4 cyl bike, fireblade, cbr600 etc.

Does anyone have any info on fireblade or CBR600 ignitions systems, wiring diagrams, technical details - how it works etc...

Cheers.

Pete.

Hi Pete
blade runs lost spark on a simple crank position sensor and rota, ecu fires coils 1 and 4 together and 2 and 3. Timing is fixed as stock as rota is indexed to crank but it wouldnt be difficult to make it adjustable. I think the biggy is the firing order, if its the same as the blade then the paired firing wont be an issue. I have loads of bits you can try if you need them, sensors rotas etc. If you need anything give me a bell on 01449 736633
best regards
Andy
