KOSO DB-02R RPM wiring

Hi Guys & Gals,

Im struggling with the instructions for the RPM wiring ( see below ). I'm using a Honda F20C engine which uses coil on plug ignition. It looks to me that I should be using the RPM wire set A, the instructions seem to show the wire wrapped around the coil ? There is also a lug on the wire, what am i supposed to do with that ? Or am i completely wrong and I should be using another method ?

I would try type B - use the signal (+ve) wire to the coil... That worked on my bike engine.

Did you find a method that works?

I'm in the same boat today and struggling to get a reading. Tried both the coil and the HT lead and not getting a response!

Mark.
