Fog Light Switch

Just realised the Savage switched do not conform with SVA as there is no light indication that the fog light is on.

What have people done to get round this?

Cheers Ben

Put one on the dash.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

fit an illuminated switch that needs the same size hole or bigger.
fit a warning light and wire it into the existing switch.

Don't put another switch in, just a warning light that comes on when the switch is on.

I have the savage switch and that's exactly how mine works

Did you use an LED? How did you label it?

I've used the Savge fog light switch and it comes with a built in LED for night time switch illumination, but it could be wired as a 'fog light on' indication.

I actually have a light for it on the digidash but you could just use a normal light and label it accordingly.

Surely if you wire the actual switch LED to be a warning light then how would you illuminate it for night time use aswell?

I think a 12v LED from Maplin will do it then, or could make sure with Neds solution!

do the switches need to be illuminated for night time use?????????

I have not seen that reqmt in the SVA manual!!

Surely you'd need an illuminated steering wheel and gearlever too, not to mention illuminated stalk switches!!!

I meant a light.

You can get away without illuminating everything if you use one of these Dev

I'm not saying they have to be for SVA but it would probably be a pain if one wasn't and the rest were.

Ive also got the savage fog light switch, and for some reason assumed the fog warning light had to be yellow as in production cars, but have been told it can be any colour so I will be using the blue LED in the switch as the warning light.
