Daihatsu Charade Alternator

I've heard that the 1.3L (or is it 1.6L) alternator for the Daihatsu Charade is very small and has a slightly longer spindle shaft than the 1.0 L. What is the amp rating on this? What year car was it fitted on? Is it the 1.3 or 1.6L?

Mine came off a 1.3 16v, works well with the 2.0L zetec. If I remember the 1.3 version has a 5 rib poly v pulley and the 1.0 has a standard single v pulley. Either way you will probably end up throwing the pulley away and fitting one to match your engine.

amps - not sure but mine works OK charging the Fiat chiquchento (is that how you spell it ?) battery, I have fitted.

Mine came off a Diahatsu "Mover". Most of the Diahatsu range look the same i.e. all small.

Also the Toyota Starlet alternator is equally small and light so that is another option.
