OT Saab indicators
I've got a problem with the indicators on my daily commute, a Saab 9000. The hazzards work fine with all 4 lights flashing merrily but the
indicators are completely dead. I've checked the fuses and indicator stalk and all is fine. I've replaced the combined hazzard / flasher
relay unit as well but still no joy. Anyone got any ideas on
a) what the problem might be?
or
b) how to test a very complicated 7 pin relay?
I'm pissing a lot of people off at the moment and need to sort this ASAP.
Cheers

had similar faults before being the hazzard switch itself ( not on a saab though) Try putting one indicator on and wobbleing the hazzard switch may
just be an arced/burnt contact, fords and vauxhalls sometimes exibit the same problems

Hazards and indicators have seperate supplies, one ignition live and one constant live. So there are two fuses to check.

Hi Bigrich the hazards are the only part that's working it's the indicators that are stuffed.
Dusty, I've gone through the fuses but I'll check again incase I've missed one. Would there be 2 seperate fuses even though both
hazards and indicators use the same dual circuit relay?
Jeez I hate vehicle electrics.

Sorry don't know Saab electrics specificaly but as indicators only work when ignition is on there should be an ignition live to the flasher
relay or possibly the indicator switch, enabling the indicator function (as well as a constant supply for the hazards). Ford numbers this terminal 49
and that may be universal.
