COOLING FAN
ive mounted rad fan onfront of intercooler which is mounted in front of the rad, problem is that the fan only seems to want to pull from rad rather
than push (even with reverseed wireing it does really make any difference)so will the fan be ok pulling from the rads out through the front of the
car, I think this will be fine stationary, any thoughts??

Umm, no I don't think that's a good idea.
Imagine if you were doing a nice steady 40mph, it might be that the airflow due to car's forward motion exactly balances airflow from fan and
you would get no net cooling at all.
Also, fan will be pulling hot air from rad through your intercooler which will heat air intake rather than cooling it.
Can't you physically reverse the fan mounting so it sucks from front to back ?

If you can remove the actual blades from the fan assembly and re-fit facing the other way, then the fan should move the air in the right direction.
The pitch of the blades usually means they are pretty ineffective in reverse (i.e. simply reversing the direction of rotation.

If it is a dc motor then surely it should reverse its direction with a change of polarity. I agree that you would have to change the blades round as
well due to their aerofoil shape.

If it's not easy to turn the fan blades over, could you mount the sucking fan on the rear of the rad? It makes no difference whether it's
sucking or blowing, once everything is running in the right direction.

Im going to try and turn the blades over, It looks like a pig of a job, I cant mount the fan on the back of the rad because I have no room, shame
really Ive just drilled holes in the intercooler brackets to mount the bloody thing.

2 hours later ive managed to turn the blades around and finish mounting the fan, it seems to have a resonable amount of pressure going through now, I
hope its enough.

It can only be DC motor surely?????
I cannot see how swapping the leads over does not change the motor direction
depending on the fan blades, not all can be turned round; seems like you managed it - make sure there is no change the rotor can come off - more of a
concern if it was infront of the radiator as it could chomp itss way through teh core

A series wound motor will not reverse when you swap polarity! However, all the fan motors I have seen have been PM type.
Reversing fan blades does not reverse airflow either, you have to reverse blades AND motor to do it properly.
