FIA master switch position

Hi,

I,m busy wiring now and may try racing next year so will be installing a master switch.

So where have you placed yours ? I,m thinking within the dead zone on the dash but is this okay for racing ?

Regards Mark

It must be accessible by both the driver and from the outside and properly marked with appropriate stickers. It is usual to put it on the scuttle side in the open triangle of the windscreen support.

Hi as said it needs to be gettable by the driver whilst normally seated and straped in and by marshals . usually switch on the dash board but not by the steeringwheel in case you knock it off. And then run a pull cable to the exterior on the scuttle for the marshals.

cheers matt
