ford immobiliser
Help required
Trying to use original wiring loom from my sierra donor but it comes with an alarm which connects to the door switches and elec windows. As I dont
have these in the kit car want to get rid of as much as poss maybe even the alarm.
anyone know how easy this is? is it just a case of cutting the solder joint into the ignition system or is it a little more involved
BTW its from a 92 K ghia

don't know how easy it is without seeing the loom but I suspect you wouuld need to unwrap the whole lot and use only the wires you require,
ditching the others.
Keep one or two spare in case you want to fit something electrical in the future.
It will be a bit time consuming but think of all the grammes saved!

that was the plan also thinking of the £160 saved not buying a loom
just wondering how the alarm/immobiliser worked and how easy it was to remove without affecting the rest of the ignition circuit
Have already removed the ABS loom and fitted the engine loom as this is seperate from the main loom
