more out of curiosity
Morning all
with all the assistance I've received here recently the sterring column wiring is now practically complete (cheers to everyone who has helped me
out)
One thing that I'm curious about more than anything are the unconnected blue wires.
There is one in the 3 pin plug and one in the 9 that don't connect to anything. According to the vicky green diagram blue is for headlights so
why would they put in two blue wires that aren't connected.
If anyone can explain in simple terms I'd be grateful as I'm trying to learn how the system works rather than just blindly connect things
up.
Cheers
Nigel

driving or front fog lights?
I'm glad I never bought one of these looms (I had considered using one on the Falcon years ago) as I can see that it would have ended up in the
bin.

SNAP
its just one of those things about the VG loom that has had me wondering
car appears to work well enough with these redundant cables.. As posted before the diagrammes are Sh1t and just because blue has been used elsewhere
for lighting it does not mean that thats what these cables were for.
i find its best not the think to hard on electrics as it just leaves me more confused

Have Premier stopped selling their fantastic looms?
Cos they really were so simple and well done, with really good instructions!
I only ask as people keep posting about these VG looms and I'm wondering why!!!
Cheers,
James

the only reason I ended up with a VG loom was because it was supplied as part of the kit and stupidly because I didn't know any better I assumed
wrongly that it was intended for the MK not a bodged product that doesn't work well in any situation
Now I'm a lot wiser the next build will have a premier loom but I'm so far down the road of wiring the car now I may as well bite the
bullet and finish off this one.
Apologies for the constant posts asking daft questions but not everyone is well versed in electrickery, personally I like to be able to see both ends
of a circuit rather than it just disappear in the middle.
