Headlight wire colours?
I have a Luego loom and rally designs headlights on my car, on the loom i have the following colours: solid red, solid black, blue/white and blue/red,
i also have the same colour wires coming out of the headlight.
Is it going to be as easy as matching up the colours or am i going to have to open up the light unit to see where the wires go?

I see this posted all the time and I don't understand something: Why can't you put each wire from the headlight on a battery and see what
happens? What is going to happen is one wire will be for low beam, another high beam etc. Then you have to check the other end of the loom to see
where it goes.
Isn't there a diagram included in your loom?
I can only dream of a kit which included all the connections and parts that actually go together!! So my experience is based on doing one little thing
at a time and learning as I go.

If you own a multimeter (which you should do if not you can buy a cheap one for £5) meter the wires, one will be -ve (0v, earth) one
will be for dipped beam (+12v) when the dipped beam is turned on by the switch and one is main beam (+12v) this will also be turned on by the
switch.
On the light, open it up or look at the wires to see where the earth is.
Then as the previous post says check on a battery to see which is dipped and which is main beam (this will be brighter).
Hope that doesn't sound to condescending.
