Lights help.

I am trying to sort out my lights but in order to wire them I need to understand a few things....

1. do we have to have the side lights powered from permanent live?
2. The main beam needs to flash headlights is only required with the ignition on?
3.Does the dip beam stay powered when the main beam is on?

thanks

Thanks... I do have the Luego loom from the old Luego but to be honest there is so much extra cable and only 6 fuses for the whole car I am modifying the loom. I plan to use relays for the lights so that I am not putting any current through the switches. I have just thought of another question for the fog light control is the switch enabled after the side lights or dip beam is switched on?

thanks guys....

How old is the loom? coz ive just done mine and mine is over 4 years old, it has the 6 fuses and 3 relays for the headlights.
The fog light only comes on when the side lights come on.
You are more than welcome to come and look at mine if you wish

Tommy thanks for the offer but I don't think I will need to have a look. Mine is about the same age, I am using relays but not using the sierra switch but a mini column switch. I want to add a bit more protection because there are quite a few areas pre the fuse box that are not protected. I am using a DTA ECU and a digital dash and I want to fuse this correctly. I am probably over killing it but I want to make sure I don't have a heater as a wiring loom!

thanks

On my car (Dax Rush), the foglight is powered off the headlight feed. So the foglight will only come on if you have dip or main on.
