Alternator on 2.0 silvertop with 1800 WP
Evening,
Anyone with this set up installed it in an MNR RTIB, want to know if it fits on either side of the engine bay. Ill be off to the scrappy to find some
alternators this weekend micra/charade. Could i possably use/modify some pinto mounts??
Or could i utilise a escort alternator mounting bracket?
BTW My engines out of a 96 mondeo and ill be using bike bodies and a renault 5 filter.

This is my install in my MNR, obviously the idler is there for the blacktop pump, not required with a silvertop, unless you just want to leave the 2L
pump in...
I found the oil filter fouled the steering shaft and used a remote setup.
This is my silvertop mount, with a Brise alternator.
Its all in my blog...

I used on of these:
ebay link
Mine was only £30 though. Making a bracket is dead easy - I mounted mine on the inlet side above the oil filter [I'm also using a Renault 5
one].
