Rear fog light
Anyone used one of these? It's off a Landy Defender - I was following one the other day and it looked like it was quite neat, on a little plinth
thingy.
I found it here for £7.70 + £4 P&P (!) + VAT = £13.75 if my maths is right, so it looks LOwer COST than e.g. SVC:

Alternatively, anyone know of similar for less?

I was going to opt for Land Rover lights on the back. Theyre cheap and these ones are made by perei.
Only thing I can see, the fog light seems big at 130mm round (or am I being dim and thats the min for SVA)

It does sound a bit big (130mm = c. 5" . I'm sure it didn't seem that big when I saw it on the back of the Landy! Mind you, it dows
say 130x130x130 - not sure what those measurements might mean.
Might give them a call tomorrow and find out,. At that price, it's maybe worth a punt

Was just about to mention that - Maplin £10.37 ebay £20...rip off britain eh?! The landy ones are very big, look ok on a landy but maybe too big on a
locost! If your looking at landy bits check out Paddock Spares....they can be a bit dodgey on stuff thats not in stock or special order type stuff
but are brilliant for simple no thrills things like lights etc....next day and generally a couple of quid cheaper than lrspares. Just do a google on
them and you'll find it no bother.....HTH Oli.

woops forgot to mention the genuine landrover ones (as fitted to mum's td5) have a big fat e-mark stamped on them so can't see any issue
at SVA so long as u manage the usual viewing angles and vertical etc....Oli.

you need to think how to mount these - I think they are designed to be flush fitted on the bakc; the land rover having vcertical sides - you need some
angled jobbie.
there are also the rectangular lamps (fog & revers) for about £5 from paddocks. As my lamp units sare rectangular, I went for those.
I have a pair of cases for them (car was bought without lenses) that I cans sell ya and all you need to do is buy the lenses.

I am going to try to find a landy close up to measure how big they really are - diameter and depth. As for the mount things, I am not sure if they
could be cut down at an angle so the lens is vertical?
...btw, when you say you have the cases, do you mean the mounting thing, or what? If you've got a pic, that would be handy...
I've got round rear light clusters and (currently) a square fog light, hence looking at the round fogs
