indicastor supports - are these strong enough?
been busy doing a bit more fibre glassing and put two brackets that are to support indicacor tubes.
The indicators are those teeny oval ones, fitted into 20 mm Al tube. A short length of tube will go inside the nose cone and using another piece of
aluminum will bolt to the two supports that you can see on each side of the mesh.
Although small, there will be a force acting on the indicators when driving (wind resistance) and I'm wondering if anyone has a gut feel if the
brackets will be strong enough? They are held on by 3 pieces of 450 wieght fibre glass mat. Although not dry, they feel quite sturdy. I will be
fiiting rings on the inside and outside of the hole for the tube to provide some support where they go through the nose cone.
(oh, and don't say put the whole tube right the way through!)

i would say more than strong enough, but a word of warning, friends RHood went through SVA at chadderton last summer and was told the front indicators
would be too small to pass from a certain date (not sure when changed) but as it was a retest he wasnt rechecking them, could be wirth a call to your
test centre to find there views on them.

I have GSX600F indicators bolted straight throught the nose cone sides, with a big washer on the back of each. No sign of any problems yet (2500 miles
in). You could have just laid up a couple of extra layers of GRP inside the nose cone where you want to mount them. However the brackets you have made
look fine.
