USB to Serial Bridge Drivers
Struggling to connect my laptop to megajolt today as I don't have any drivers.
I've bought a USB/Serial cable but no disk came with drivers.
As it's just a cable I guess they may be on the windows disk or on the net but as the disk is at work and I can't connect my laptop to the
net I'm stuck.
Guess when I go in on Monday I can take the cable and download them from either the disk or the net but I wanted to have a bash today.
I've tried looking for free drivers on google (using the desk top) but no joy
Anyway round it?
I used to be apathetic but now I just don't care.

It'll 99% use the Prolific PL230x chipset, so you just need to download the drivers from http://www.prolific.com.tw , specifically
http://www.prolific.com.tw/support/files//IO%20Cable/PL-2303/Drivers%20-%20Generic/Windows/wd_pl2303h-hx-x_v20019v2021.zip

Try on usbgear if you can't get it anywhere else.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Just to say thanks to TheFBI & PeteF.
Downloaded the driver and worked fine.
Fired the car up today and played about with loading and unloading maps etc.
Pretty neat. Just need to bash on with the modified 2.1 now for the summer.
Cheers again guys.
