Screened twisted pair wire

I know there was a posting on here about a company that supplied twisted screened wire by the metre for sensors etc. Anyone know the link to the post? I have looked but can't find it...

thanks

You can get the proper stuff from

TriggerWheels

(bottom of the page)

It's got the tough outer covering that's resistant to oil, etc.

I'm no expert - as this post is about to display.

However, I thought the idea of twisted pair was that it didn't need a screen because it was twisted pair. What would be the advantage of a screen on a twisted pair cable and how would you connect the screen.

(This is all from a muso perspective where we use screened signal cables and big feck off straight paired cables for speaker applications.)

Both are available, unshielded twisted pair UTP, and two core screened, it is two core screened you need.

How much do you need I have some spare?

Yup. Twisted screen is an oxy-moron (or for those really paranoid about interference!!). 2 core screen should do the trick- remember to attach only one end of the screen to earth to avoid ground loop funkiness...

Thanks Guys ....It was triggerwheels I was trying to remember so thanks for that. I'm not sure how much I need because I have a number of sensors to wire so will probably get 10 metres and have a bit spare...thanks for the help as usual...
