EPAS Column?

I have RedTop 25 battery with a 45 amp Brise alternator.

Anyone know if a an electric column will work OK with this set up?

I can get a Corsa EPAS column or current Toyota Corrola/Verso column.

Just wonderign if the lack of electrical things in my 7 would make up for the extra pull off the columns. It may be that the lighter car doesn't take the column up to its full draw anyway.

Yep, power steering indeed, only because I have the columns and am looking to develop the install.

Demon Tweaks sell the columns for an eye watering 2K where as we make them for less that £100!

Steering on my car is quite heavy and a bit wooden due to my mistake using Sierra uprights. Seeing as the EPAS columns only give assist as its required they will be quite light on the battery I reckon.

Peak draw on EPAS is about 70A on small cars. That would be when stationary and swinging the wheel from lock to lock as fast as possible. In normal use, the current is much lower. Go for the one that doesn't need CAN messages to keep it happy.
