Alarm

Has anyone fitted an alarm to their car?

I've got an old one in the garage. Its designed to go off if someone opens a door, on if the internal movement sensors see any movement. I guess neither of these are of much use in a Seven

What I was thinking of doing was using the output for the LED to switch on or off the fuel pump relay, and a flashing LED. What do you think?

Could put the movement sensors in the bottom of the footwells I suppose?

Has anyone else fitted one?

Cheers

Not really an answer to your question but have you seen the ones on ebay? Type in "remote start" and it should bring them up. About £70 and they have upto 4 channels to remotely operate lights, engine start etc aswell as alarm and immobiliser. Some even have paging facility. Not thatcham approved but gotta be better than nout.

Had a look, not bad.

But would you be able to remote start a car running Webbers?

Cheers

Don't you have to give the go pedal a couple of pumps, then start it, then give it gentle revs for a few seconds till it warms up?

No auto choke
