Hazards/Indicators with ign off SVA?
Do the hazards or indicators need to work without the ignition on for SVA?

Hazzards yes, indicators no
A pint for the gent and a white wine/fruit based drink for the lady. Those are the rules

As above, Hazards yes, Indics no.
BUT indicators can work with the ignition off and it isn't a problem.

My problem is I couldn't find any hazard or indicator based switched power for the flasher relay, so it's powered permanently on, drawing
a few milliamps 24/7

If you get desparate, add an isolator from the battery so you can cut the battery when the car is stored.

I've done that - just annoyed that it has to be always live...

Jame,
I see your problem.
Which flasher relay are you using? Sierra?
I guess you need to find a switched power for the flasher relay! Which hazard and indicator switches are you using?

It's an aftermarket LED one - Using sierra stalks, I tried buzzing everything through, but I couldn't find a switched supply - i've
seen a few diagrams here that power the relay via these switches, but my pinouts didn't seem to match...

Why do you think it's drawing power 24/7?? surely it only draws power when the indicators/hazrds are on
If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

Anyway, why worry? It's good practice (IMHO) to have a battery isolator switch (makes the car a bit more secure for one thing). If you leave the
car it's good to take the isolator key anyway (I've got the two keys joined by a length of wire so I can't forget!!). So if
you're sat in your car for a while with the ignition off but the isolator on the few mA is going to cause no problems. If you get out the car
it's best to take the keys with you anyway

If it's only a few milliamps I'd not worry. Tintops have their computers on 24/7 to service the remote locking, alarm etc. and while
they'll be using sleep modes to reduce power as far as possible I'm sure their average is going to be of the same order.
Just drive it frequently to keep the battery topped up, it will be lost in the noise of the power the starter motor pulls.
