Best place to attach magnet for Acewell dash
The Acewell dash I have has a magnet with an M6 threaded end, and a reed switch which detects the magnet as it passes.
Has anyone fitted this type? I suppose the ideal would be to drill and tap a hole and screw it in with some studlock. Not really the thing with a
balanced propshaft though.
Any suggestions?
TIA
John

Most people cut the thread off & fix with araldite or similar 2 pack adhesive, I have mine on a driveshaft - for SVA better to be on the prop as
thier stupid rollers aren't locked together. (bit tricky as I don't have a prop!)
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.

Mine is glued onto the prop [with thread cut off] just behind the front UJ with araldite. Use the type that needs 24 hours to set.
Works fine.
