got one of these from cbs
and i like lots
where can i get another on, in blue or green for example, without writing to use for a horn button or something?
looked on ebay, only seem to have a few in america for like £35
if cbs can sell them for £7.50, there much be some available somewhere else cheaper?

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

I've just got one of those!
What really impresses me is the internal LED - up to 400v, AC or DC, either polarity. Neat trick...

ah, well it says 400v, but look at the box it comes in! it says 12v
i think the actual switch itself can go to 400v, but the led may give up long before

Looks smart - I could quite fancy one of those!
Do you need a relay to wire it in, or is it rated high enough already?
Also, do you get instructions on how/where to wire it into existing ignition circuit?

Look for items made by Telemechanique i'm sure you'll get what your looking for. Try Neweyand aire's website under control and
automation.
If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

If it will switch 16A you will not need a relay.
I tested my zetec starter and the solenoide draws about 10A

I was just looking at that last night in the CBS catalogue! How do you mount it to the dash? How much sticks out? Bit different to the savage start
button everyone has.

Perhaps yes. BUT if your switch was cheap enough from your source then you'd only need to change the front button part IIRC. So it could be a
cheaper option. Do you have a Newey and aire outlet near you??

Take your start switch in to the counter and see what others they've got in stock.

or, like you say, get another from cbs and then get a replacement button for the front, or just try and rub off the text on the front
