Tacho and MPH not working,

Both my tacho and Mph guage dont work tacho has previously worked and mph guage never has, SVA is next week!!!

Tacho takes a feed from Edis i believe and is a ETB guage, What should i check??

MPH guage is a ETB instument one with a normall dial plus digital milage counter, has lots of dip switches on the back!! it came with 2 magnets that are fitted to the diff??

Any help is appriciated!!

do ETB have a website with fitting / fault finding instructions?? if not it might be worth checking Greengauges website? What type of sender do you have ? IIRC the speedo needs a live feed , do you have one?

Ive been in garage sorting out little problems all day and i found that the ECU tacho out was holding at 10.3 v all the time, im lucky guage hasnt burnt out. So i got out my EDIS drawing cause i thought that they may be a tacho out on that and scratched my head for a few munutes and found that pin 11 was CTO (clean tacho out) and tried that and it worked- so ill get rid of the other wire.

Thats Tacho sorted- but if i had just read the above post i could have sorted it with out the head scratching.

As for the MPH guage, looks like it could just need programming on rollers or ran for 1 mile at a constant speed.

Do you know somewhere you can acurately drive a mile and stop safely at the beginning?

If not you can work out how many pulses over a mile using diff ratio and wheel and tyre sizes.

Drove a mile in a disused wear house but had to keep speed down, it now over reads by approx 2mPH at 10mph it reads 12mph and 25 it reads 27mph, will this be ok at higher measurments??
