Am puting 1800zetec out of a mk6 into my mk3. But need help on wiring, i want to remove the imobilzer, keys, fuse box etc,
i basicly want to power up the ecu from a switch, am putting inline fuel pump so that be ok on its own switch? I am doin this as in my stock car so dont need the lights, dash etc. Just want to power up ecu and run it. Can anyone help in doing this please? Quicker the help the better please as have been doin my research and am almost ready to swap the motor over,

From memory, I think the immobilizer is in the ECU and cannot easily be removed. Just cable tie the keyfob to the black plastic ring behind the ignition switch so the ECU can 'see' the key at startup and wire in a push switch to start the engine.

You need a pre pats ecu.

The one you need is code "BLOB"

They pop up on ebay or try trawling the scrap yards. If you have no joy Ive got one you can have with Part loom and Maf for about £35.

Its not hard to do but there is 60 pins to go at lol. Ia doing a 2.0 aswell at the min

Having re read your post.

The banger boys tend to be dumping the efi and sticking a 32/36 dgv on and using the esc ecu from a fiesta. This has just two wires to run(live and earth) and three plugs to wire to the engine.

i want to keep on stanard inj as the plan is to slap set bike carbs on evenatly, but as racing grasstrack so to much power is a waste. but think just gonna tape up imobilzer and hide away for the min.

The eec-iv is not much use with bike carbs or Throttle bodies as it needs signals from the maf ect.

yeah prob just gonna run inj for this season and then plan to covert over to bike carbs for next season. obv will look into it more closer to the time but thinks about the megajolt to run it

i am wanting to remove ac and pas , so need a belt to run alt and water pump if anyone nos anybelts?
