omg - flatshifter!

Took the car for the first drive after fitting the trick shifter, its bloody brilliant! I only used the downshift once but the auto blip is cool. I cant believe how smooth the flatshifts are

I'd never heard of it until I have just googled it. Sounds/seems pretty cool! Did you fit it yourself? What gearbox do you have fitted in your car?

Cheers

Ah...you have much to learn Grasshopper !

Dans info-panel says "post SVA tweaks to ZX10 MK Indy R"
so it's a Kawasaki ZX10 bike engine and thus uses the bikes 6 speed sequential box.

yeah its the pro, was easy to fit as i was in the middle of re-doing my ecu loom (but pretty easy anyway).

the worst part was the vac takeoff on the throttle bodies, there's an existing take of on each one (used for balancing) but the hole in the end is about .5mm, had to be drilled out to 2.5mm, especially when the drillbit got stuck!

Looked at this myself, a couple of questions:
How does it cope with part throttle changes, say,1/3-1/2 throttle?
Is it really worth almost £700 for road use?

i only did a quick 5 - 10 min test run as there's a few other bits i wanted to sort before i went too fast (and it was first drive after totally rewiring car including ecu stuff - didnt want to break down too far from home)

it seems to work well at any throttle. steady speed / throttle and it went fine (very smooth change!), fine at WOT and fine on some gentle acceleration.

the throttle blip takes some getting used to.

im not sure its worth that much for road use but probably is when it comes to track use - i didnt pay anything near that though

thats the max which is something all together different (electronic gear change, eg electric paddles or button gear change)
and doesnt do the flat shift / throttle blip, it can be used in addition to the trickshifter.
