There are a few, they work by comparing wheel speed to revs, and by being programmed by the user can work on any bike or car really.
The 2 types are elec speedo (so just need to be wired to rev guage and speedo signals)
and manual speedo which require (a usally magnetic sensor) fed signal thats added on to give an electronic speed reading.

Datatool (amongst others) make one that ussually crops up on ebay for about £30

Providing your speedo isnt cable driven, that will be fine.

If its not an elec speedo and you have a cable drive one, youl need something like this;

Acumen DG8 Digital Gear Indicator & SPEEDO UPGRADE KIT on eBay (end time 01-Dec-10 14:23:45 GMT)

but im sure ive seen them cheaper, so shop around.

If you have a signal for the speedo for the koso (or it comes with a sensor) then you can piggy back that signal, so you can just use an electronic version.

Options for a gear indicator on the Fireblade used to be fairly limited and the major contenders were the Datatool Digi and Acumen DG8 units (both developed by the same person BTW) We've tried both and couldn't get either of them to work properly on our first Blade engined Indy or our ZX12R. Sometimes they worked and sometimes they didn't and they were both slow and never really reliable.

There is a fairly new gear indicator on the market called the GIPro X-Type manufactured by HealTech Electronics Ltd. HealTech Electronics are IMO, the leading manufacturer for speedo calibration modules and gear indicators. If I was after a gear indicator for the Blade, HealTech would be my first and only choice.
