Temprature sensor edit more specific request
New Oil Water Temperature Gauge Sensor Sender 1/8 NPT See shop Sandwich Plate | eBay
Does anyone know much about these type of temp sensors, what signal do they output, i'm guessisng resistance, but are they all a standard
range?
we're looking for a 100+ ohm temp sensor preferably with 1/8 nptt thread

Temperature sensors have to match the guage or the ECU they are serving.
So you need to know the resistance range of your guage and the the resistance of the sensor.
If you are using it for something like Megasquirt, then the settings in MS have to be adjusted to match the sensors resistance.
Duratec Engine is fitted, MS2 Extra V3 is assembled and tested, engine running, car now built. IVA passed 26/02/2016
