Fireblade RR5 wiring/ecu

I'm fitting a Fireblade CBR1000RR 05 engine into a track car and am having the usual problem with no fuel pump and no spark.
I'm only using the engine loom and have bypassed the neutral switch, side stand and clutch switches for testing purposes. I believe the ECU is a USA version so shouldn't have HISS (and was used by the previous owner but with a bespoke loom)
The fuel pump relay is powering up but wont switch the pump on with ignition, it seems that the brown/yellow needs to be grounded by the ecu? and I assume when this happens the coil circuit will operate?
Is there something else I need to bypass? I've also read about about putting another 12v or 9v feed to the ecu for American versions but cant seem to confirm this for mine.

Any help appreciated
Thank you

I think your missing an earth buy it sounds like your bypassing the right stuff. I missed an earth on my loom.
