DIZZY's for 1.6CVH

Ok,
what i'm looking for is the black box that sits on top of a FORD 1.6CVH (Fiesta MK2 with black cap dizzy) dizzy, This is the small box that has the 3 wire connection to it. I was told that it is similar or the same as the ones on metro's

Went to the scrappy last night and couldn't find any.

Scot's do it better in Kilts.

Is it not the same as the ones on escorts. 1.6 cvh's were quite common in escorts when they stoped using x-flows.

My 1.6cvh Escort had the same engine as XR2. It was a Mk4 model. They did Mk3 and Mk4 with 1.3, 1.4 and 1.6 versions of the CVH.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Picture here if anyone's interested. Engine came from an Escort and is a non-injection 1600 CVH. dizzy/little black box is visible and is controlled by a sensor that detects the rotations of the fly wheel.

A bit of slapstick never hurt anyone.

Wrong!

On the fiest engine it is the ignition modue that is mounted onto the dizzy and the dissy is driven from the cam - no crank sensor!

and looks like this
