Intake Air sensor

When using GSXR throttle bodies and Mega Squirt where do you mount the intake air flow sensor?

On my throttle bodies im running a single ITG oblong filter and im going to place my inlet temp sensor in the alloy back plate, that is mated to the bodies, I thought that this filter setup was the best solution to both filtration and sensor placement, so I havent even thought about how you would do it if you use single "sock" type filters.

That is where I put mine initially as it was the easiest. However, I've now repositioned it to be closer to the mouth of the air horns to be in the air flow as it was suffering from heat soak and was indicating a higher temperature than the air going down the horns. It's also mounted on a bracket that has lower thermal conductivity than the air filter backplate which also helps. The datalogs now show it reading closer to the temperature that I would expect from the filter breathing fresh air from outside the bonnet.

Cheers,

Colin
