Sorry I just posted this on the Tiger forum and its long so copying directly.....should add the loom is a tiger supplied 6 fuse one with two relays
controling the indicator system (one flasher and one 5 pin relay).....using a sierra stalk....here goes:
Ok I'm almost bald from pulling all my hair out! I've just been out in the garage trying to sort out my left hand indicator. So here
goes. I've replaced the wiring from terminal 87 of the 5 pin relay to the live in the indicator stalk. then new wire from the left hand pin on
the stalk to the light on the dash, then new wire from the dash light to the indicator bulbs themselves. In essence its got new wiring from the +12V
all the way through until the bulb. Alas the indicators are still blowing fuses!!! If I remove the two relays and put a piece of wire from terminal
49 of the flasher to 87 of the 5 pin relay and turn the indicators on:
Hazards do not work (this is supposed to happen I think as their live is direct from another terminal on the flasher relay,
Right hand indicator came on and stayed on (no flashing) this was also expected - no blown fuses heat or any other drama.
Left hand indicator big flash and the 20amp fuses to the left of the right block blows. Seems to be drawing a lot of current from somewhere as other
lights dim as fuse blows.
I really don't understand whats happening now as there can't possibly be a short between wires and the chassis as I've just replaced
these! I though it might have something to do with the old hazards switch which is in the off position so I removed the bulb from it in case. No
change....then i thought maybe the stalk is earthing against the column so removed the whole stalk and tried it again but alas no change. Could
someone try removing their relays and putting a piece of wire between 49 and 87 for me and see what happens when the indicators are put on. I am so
lost now its unreal.....should I just pay someone to sort it out for me??!! Got SVA in a couple of weeks and the cars a mess! Please, please, please

Whos loom are you using
Premier, Vicky Green custom???

ummmm I'd hazard a guess and say it was a premier one but hopefully someone more knowledgable will be able to trundle along in a sec and put me
right! Oli.

From what i can see everything on the wiring seems as it should, So i would guess the problem lies between the ind stalk and the bulb. Try removing
the 3 bulbs on the left hand circuit then switch on the indicator and check to see if it blows if it does the fault is with the dash light. Fit one
bulb at a time until it blows.
Have you checked for any short circuits in the loom with a meter.

Yup tried without the bulbs yesterday and there was no difference the fuse still blows. Can't see how there can be a short circuit as
I've just replaced all the wires! Confused......Oli.

Got it sorted....turned out the hazard light switch was earthing against the dash! Oh well....Thanks guys. Oli.
