Plug leads
I've started fitting the bits for my Megajolt onto my car - and I've discovered that the set of ignition leads off the Orion donor
don't fit the x-flow, due to the way the plugs are tilted in the head - 2 are just fine, but the others are stretched tight. Of course, the
different engine layout has something to do with it! 
This is the type of lead I'm after:
 
So I am looking for a company that can sell me individual plug leads, or can make them up according to my dimensions. Any suggestions?

David it may be better to look at the Peugeot/Citroen coil pack as they take "normal " plug leads thet should be easier and cheaper to
find

Sounds interesting! 
Will the Citroen/Pug coil connect up to the Ford EDIS unit? And do you (or anyone else) have a photo so that I could recognise what I need when I go
to the scrappy?

Can't help with a photo but I think that some of the later 306s have the coil pack you need but might be a good idea to get the multiplug as
well May?? also be fitted to some of the ZXs ?

They'll also do whatever you want to order, but the best way of buying them is through the next door company (literally)

K1 leads also have a lifetime warranty. One of mine was slightly too short, they next day'd a replacement FOC so I now have a spare too (for a
closer cylinder)

Thanks folks...
Rusty - I've decided to stay with the Ford coil pack, as I know with 100% certainty what the wiring should be, and also that it's an exact
match for the EDIS unit (both came from the same car).
In the worst case, I'd just have to buy 2 plug lead sets to get the lengths I require - but I'll check out those suppliers to see if they
can get exactly what I want.

I got mine made up by Magnecor and was happy with them and the service. If you are pre-SVA make sure the leads you get are RFI shielded and marked up
as such I think it is something they check.

If you have a good scrapyard near you then why not have a look and find some good ones on a Fiesta I have had some nearly new sets from the breakers
after a bit of searching about and when given a good clean they are as good as new.Plug leads dont actually fail that often in my experience but are
often the first things changed if the engines not running right.

The later HCS engined cars (Escort and Fiesta) used distributorless systems, and as those engines are very simmilar to the xflow they should fit ok.

That's exactly what I've got at the moment - but as I said, two are a good length but the others are just too short. I might go and get
another set from the scrappy to make up a suitable set.
It would be easier to get a set made up, especially when you think that commercial-grade plug leads do wear out after a few years...

I got them from Fast Lane Auto in the end, as Mark suggested - what a GOOD supplier! I sent an email query on the Sunday, got a reply at 08:50 on the
Monday, phoned them at 10-ish with an exact order, and received them in the post the next day. 4 special leads for the same price as the rest of
their 4-lead sets (just under £28 inc P&P - 'signed-for' delivery).
The only caveat would be the lead markings - they wouldn't meet the SVA requirements as they only show the website address. But as I've
passed the SVA, I care very little!
