Ignition Switch Wiring (Sierra)

Chaps,

I'm designing a loom based on a Mini diagram, having dismantled the Sierra loom for wire.

I am however using the Sierra column and ig switch.

Can't figure out wiring diagram from Haynes for Sierra, so do any of you know what the 4 wires from back of (Sierra ignition) switch do?

Thanks very much

Simon

I'm not sure exactly but its something like one live, one for the starter (relay?) and of the other two, one powers stuff thats on with the engine (ie the engine.. and stuff maybe including cig lighter, full beam etc.). The last one is probs for the first click of the ignition, stuff like radio...

I'm rushing the loom out of my sierra cos the neighbours are moaning...

well, not 100% on this as manual is at home, but must be a live feed, earth, switched live (when key turns) and 1 other....

live in
ignition switched feed blk/yellow
cranking feed to ignition relay blk/blue
live out.

I can have a closer look tomorrow to check but you should be able to tell with a multimeter what does what when you turn the key.

yours, Pete.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
